The DOHC petrol engine is a Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) engine while the SOHC diesel motor is a Turbo diesel Commonrail Injection (TDCi). The 1.5L petrol has a power output capacity of 109PS while the diesel engine generates 90PS of power. The petrol engine has a maximum torque of 140Nm at 4500 rpm while the diesel engine has 204Nm torque at 2000-2750 rpm. Road tests have revealed that the New Ford Fiesta engines perform well in the city, in traffic and on the highways.
