Bajaj Auto is reported to launch a new Baja Pulsar that will be having a bigger engine i.e. 250cc. The bike launch is still not confirmed by the company but the reports suggest that it will be priced around Rs 1.5 lakh. It is believed that the new bike will be launched by the end of the year. The bigger cc Bajaj Pulsar has become inevitable for the company as other arch players are bringing their light sports motorcycles in India in this year only.

After the huge success of Bajaj Boxer in 100cc bikes segment, India’s second largest two wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto introduced a new bike Bajaj Pulsar in 150cc segment to attract premium segment bike buyers in Indian market. And since its first launch, Bajaj Pulsar has been continuously doing well and it gains much popularity in Indian market. We can say it is the most successful bike in 150cc segment. After getting the huge market response for 150cc engine powered Bajaj Pulsar, the company introduced the more powerful version of this bike to target speed and thrill lovers premium bike buyers. These more powerful versions of Bajaj Pulsar are powered by the 135cc, 180cc and 220cc engine and it offers excellent acceleration and engine performance. It’s stylish and sporty look with comfy seats, power and wider tyres attracts the youth specially college going guys. This flagship bike model, Bajaj Pulsar has won Hall Pride of the Bike Award 2011, recently.
The company launched Bajaj Pulsar 135cc recently in India with competitive price to grab the 125cc to 135cc bike market. Bajaj Pulsar is available with four variants which are powered by four different capacities engines and delivers different level of engine power and performance.
The Bajaj Pulsar 135 is equipped with the 134.66cc, 4-Stroke, Air-Cooled, 4-Valve, Single Cylinder, SOHC (Single Overhead Camshaft), DTS-i (Digital Twin Spark Ignition) petrol engine with five speed manual transmission gearbox. This 134.66cc power-plant produces 13.5PS of maximum power at 9000rpm with 11.4Nm of maximum torque at 7500rpm. The Bajaj Pulsar135 is the world’s first bike which is loaded with the 4-Valve DTS-i technology which is designed for better engine performance in comparison to equivalent 2-valve engine.
The 150cc model of Bajaj Pulsar is powered by the 149.01cc, 4-stroke, DTS-i, air-cooled petrol engine with five speed manual transmission gearbox that produces 14.09PS of maximum power and 12.76Nm of maximum torque. Third one is the 180cc model of Bajaj Pulsar which is equipped with the 178.6cc, 4-stroke DTS-i, petrol engine that produces 17.02PS of maximum power and 14.22Nm of maximum torque. Another one is the more powerful variant of Bajaj Pulsar which is powered by the powerful 220cc, 4-stroke, DTS-i, air-cooled and oil-cooled petrol engine that delivers excellent engine performance and it produces 21.04PS of maximum power and 19.12Nm of maximum torque that results excellent acceleration and performance.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-iThis is the first model of Bajaj Pulsar series in India powered by a 150cc mill.
Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-iThis variant of Bajaj Pulsar is powered by the more powerful 178.6cc engine that delivers more power and torques that results good engine performance and acceleration. Its wheelbase is higher than Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i.
Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-iIt is the top end variant of Bajaj Pulsar which is powered by the more powerful 220cc, Oil-Cooled petrol engine. It offers better engine performance and acceleration in comparison to the lower variants.

This variant of Bajaj Pulsaroffers mileage 56.5kmpl in urban roads while on highway it offers 65kmpl mileage. Third one is the more powerful variant of Bajaj Pulsar which is powered by the 178.6cc, 4-stroke, Air-cooled, DTS-i (Digital Twin Spark Ignition) petrol engine with five speed manual transmission gearbox. This variant offers mileage 45.8kmpl mileage in city while on highway it gives 55.2kmpl. This variant ofBajaj Pulsar offers mileage around 38kmpl in urban traffic while on highway it offers 47kmpl mileage.
The Fuel tank capacity of the Bajaj Pulsar 150cc, 180cc and 220cc is 15 litres and reserve is 3.2 litres respectively, whilst Bajaj Pulsar 135 has fuel tank of 8 litres with reserve of 2.5 litres.

The flagship variant of Bajaj Pulsar which is powered by the 150cc, 4-stroke, Air-Cooled, DTS-i, petrol engine with Bajaj’s own patented ExhausTEC (Torque Expansion Chamber) that improves engine torque at low revs that results excellent acceleration and pick up.
